Nigeria Police College Graduates 3,035 Recruit Constables

The Nigeria Police College, Kaduna, has graduated 3,035 recruit constables, comprising 2,824 males and 211 females, in a grand ceremony. The graduates include 1,894 General Duty and 1,141 Specialist constables.

Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, who was represented by Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 14 Headquarters, Katsina, AIG Basil O. Idegwu, PhD, tasked the graduates to be dedicated and professional in their duties.

The IGP congratulated the graduates, noting that they have been found worthy in character, learning, physical, and mental fitness to serve Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and integrity in policing, adhering to the rule of law and established procedures.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, representing the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Uba Sani, and members of the National and State House of Assemblies.

Highlights of the ceremony included a match pass in slow and quick time, silent display drill, and the presentation of awards to outstanding graduates. The IGP also thanked President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCON, for addressing the manpower challenges of the Nigeria Police Force.
